Mr. Puran Dawar has a perfect amalgamation of rich experience and impressive academic background. Hailing from the city of Agra, he graduated in Science from the Agra College in 1971, and pursued a Post Graduate Degree in Economics in 1973, then studied Law too.

In a constant connection with the shoe industry for more than three decades, Mr. Puran Dawar has learnt a lot and grew a lot. Presently, his outstanding guidance and dedicated leadership has advanced the Group on a progressive path carving its distinct niche in the market.

The credit of the success of Dawar Group undoubtedly goes to the dynamic personality of Mr. Dawar who understood the ever-changing demands of the industry and hence introduced innovative and reliable ideas and products winning the hearts of both his customers and partners. He also ensured a sophisticated work culture and safe environment for his employees, which reflects his good-natured personal.

Multi-Disciplinary Contribution To Society:

He is Chairman of Dawar Footwear Industries and Also, he is trustee Saksham Dawar Memorial Trust. With a vision to create an exponential growth in his success chart, Mr. Dawar takes several important roles apart from leading the group. He founded Agra Footwear Manufactures & Exporters Chamber (AFMEC) in 1997, and became its President. He also headed AFMEC in 2003 to 2005 and again took the position of the President in 2009. He is also an active member of various organizations such as Govt. Committees including PGC and RAC, Governing Council of Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), Governing Council of Central Footwear Training Institute (CFTI), Governing Council of Mahamaya Technical University, among others. He has also participated in Council for Leather Exports, the apex body of Ministry of Commerce in growth of exports, to raise Agra’s voice & is currently working as its Regional Chairman (North India).

• Founded “Saksham Dawar Memorial Trust” in 1998 in memory of loving son Saksham Dawar, student of St. Peter’s College, Agra.

• Founded “Agra Development Foundation” bridging Public dues and Policy Interventions, try to bridge public participation.
• President Samkalp Agra, Arogya Ekal Foundation.
• Socially active since college life, actively participated in various activities, State and
